Tavish's story

Tavish's first 24 hours

Grandma took lots of pictures of Tavish when he was 24 hours old, even some pictures of Dad changing Tavish's diaper. Click here to see a slideshow of Tavish being changed by Dad.

Tavish's second day was pretty rough. His lungs were not quite ready for the outside world, so he needed help from a special ventilator. He was also getting round-the-clock attention from several expert and loving caregivers. Mom and Dad were very worried.

Remembering Tavish

TavishWe said goodbye to baby Tavish this evening. He was 4 days old. He came to us too early; his little body was not ready. He died peacefully in his parents arms, surrounded with love. We will remember him always.

And with the morn those angel faces smile
Which I have loved long since and lost awhile.

—John Henry Newman
